For those looking to convert a older Briggs horizonal L-head engine to the new magnito that gets rid of the points and condensor,check the date code,engines built before 1981 will have to have the flywheel removed and sent to Briggs&Stratton to have the flywheel magnet repolerized.If this is not done the engine will run like the timing is way off
