I bought a new Country Clipper mower with a 27hp Kohler Courage engine. I love the mower and it's joystick control. The Kohler is less than impressive. A month after I got it I noticed the valves were really noisy. The dealer adjusted the valve lash and said it was off quite a bit. It was better, but toward the end of the year it was getting noisy again. Seems to me that if it's not holding it's valve lash, somethings wearing pretty fast. It only has 20 hrs on it.
Is noisy valves a just a Courage thing? It makes me wish I had gotten the next larger machine with a Command on it.
