Old engine has nice pictures of old B & S and one of them is a 1942 BR6. I have one that is about a 1947 that needs a couple of parts. Mine was mounted on a Huski Cultivator that is a two wheeled walking type. The ASECC site has a list of serial numbers that will allow you to id the production year with the serial number.
