This is a model airplane engine that has gone through some major changes.
I made a base for it and adapted the flywheel and ignition from a leaf blower
to fire a tiny real sparkplug. It is overhead valve design with a dislacement
of .65 cu. in. (10 cc)

Johnson Iron Horse with a centrifugal clutch for a flat belt.

A nearly original Lauson RSH and water pump set. The guy I got it
from did not have the original carburetor and needed a working pump,
so he welded up a manifold and used a more modern Tecumseh carburetor.
It works.

A Lauson 55s with a V-Twin diaphram type air compressor.

A very complete and original (except for the paint job) military surplus
Lauson engine. It has an extended oil sump, low oil shut down switch, an
automotive fuel pump, flex pipe and muffler all packed in its original
crate

A Nelson Brothers 5/8 HP engine with horizontal shaft and cylinder.
The rope starter cup is not original and I have since located the
proper foot starter parts.

Pioneer Gen-E-Motor Pincor Model ALA. It now has a proper gas tank
and muffler and is a finished runner.

Another Pincor Model ALA but has a rewind starter. This one is still
"as acquired"

A 2-stroke Pincor. Complete, but also "as acquired"

Onan water cooled inline twin generator. 2500 watts - weighs 465 lbs.
Have since acquired another like it.

Briggs & Stratton Model WM that I have turned into a WMI with
addition of the extra capacity oil sump and pump.
The Reo ( a 1952 Model 211F) was purchased because I had one of these
engines as a kid and didn't even know what it was at the time. The one
I had was one of their odd-ball units with a horizontal engine running
through a 90 degree gearbox and out the bottom on a rotary mower. Traded
it off to a kid for a B & S Model Y. He had his dad cut the oil sump
(which was cast into the mower deck) out on a band saw.
The Maytag - What can I say... One of the best looking small engines ever
made in my opinion! Special thanks to Marvin McCullough for his help with
parts and advice on putting this one together.
The reel mower is a fairly recent acqusition still in mostly 'as-found'
condition. A testament to the reliability of a Briggs & Stratton Model 5S
engine. I use a long boot-lace (shoe-string) to start it. Sometimes starts
on one pull, but usually takes two. Had to make a new hub for one of the
wheels, as it was completely broken around the bearing. Kept the original
rim (with its cast internal ring gear) and made a new hub that I could 'splice'
onto it.
Briggs & Stratton Model B - exact age unknown, no ID Tag. Made between
1934 and 1948. Now I have an interesting project to work on over the long
winter.
I wish more people would send some pictures in. It doesn't matter to me if they aren't "museum grade", I just want to see some of these odd-ball engines that I might not get a chance to see otherwise.
