Leonard & son, Carl working on a Clinton engine. Here's a picture of my son, Carl, and me working on a Series 800 Clinton we picked up last June at Coolspring for $5.00. We reseated the valves and cleaned the gunk off of the inside of the head; it has compression now. We're ready to tackle the electrical system; needs a new coil. The fuel system will come last. We'll probably have to rebuild the carburetor.

1949 Lawnboy I noticed that someone expressed interest in Lawnboy mowers in the message board so I thought I'd share a picture of the 1949 Lawnboy I own. The deck is 3/8 inch steel plate-real heavy duty. My guess is that the mower weighs between 50 and 60 pounds.

Briggs & Stratton Model 6H This a picture of my Briggs & Stratton Model 6H. While it appears to be a vertical shaft engine it is actually a Model 6 "laid on its side" with a modified oil sump and an oil pump. There is a pully on the PTO shaft that was used to run the blade of a rotary mower ( I even have the belt tightener idler pully ). Unfortunately the mower was long gone before I acquired the engine last spring.

1956 Snapper Snappin' Turtle mower with a Briggs & Stratton Model 8B engine Here's a picture of my recently restored 1956 Snapper Snappin' Turtle mower with a Briggs & Stratton Model 8B engine.
